Who is responsible for this site?
FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. publishes faststart.online and is responsible for the personal information described here.
- FRESH POINT spol. s r.o.
- Provazničká 385/3, 110 00 Praha, Czech Republic
- Registered number: 47123028
- Tax/VAT number: CZ47123028

Which rules does FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. follow?
Personal information about readers in Australia is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, the European rules described under “What if I am in the EU, the EEA or the UK?” apply as well.
What does this policy cover?
It covers the domain faststart.online and the email address published on it, and no other website. Pages here link to other sites, including the paid link described on our Affiliate Disclosure page and links to Australian government bodies. Those sites are run by other organisations under their own policies, and following a link means leaving this one.
What do you keep about me?
Two categories of information exist, and nothing else does.
(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider records, for each request: the IP address it came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page where the browser sends one, and the user-agent string. These are written by the web server in ordinary operation. FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. adds nothing to them, combines them with nothing, and does not use them to build a profile of any reader.
(b) Email that a reader chooses to send. If a reader writes to info@faststart.online, the mailbox holds the sender's address, any name given, the content of the message, any attachments, and the message's technical headers.
(c) Nothing else is collected. There are no forms, no newsletter, no account, no quiz and no chat. There are no cookies, first-party or third-party, no web storage of any kind, no analytics, no advertising tag, no pixel, no profiling, no fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking. The site loads no web fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any other server: it requests no file from any server other than the one serving the page.
Can I read the site without identifying myself?
Yes. No identification is asked for anywhere on this site, and none is needed to read any page. A reader who writes to us may use a pseudonym, and the message will be answered on its merits. The exception is a request for access to, or correction of, information held about an identified person: there, enough identification is needed to be satisfied that the information belongs to the person asking, otherwise answering would disclose it to a stranger.
Why is each category held?
Access logs are held to keep the site available and secure: to investigate faults, to block abusive traffic such as automated scanning, and to deal with attempts to interfere with the site. They are not used for marketing, measurement or audience analysis.
Email is held to read and reply to the enquiry, and to keep a record of the correspondence in case the matter continues.
How long is each category kept?
Access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation and then deleted, unless it is needed for a legal claim or the law requires it, in which case it is kept only as long as that purpose lasts.
What do you do with it, and who do you give it to?
Information is used only for the purposes stated above. It is never sold, rented or traded, never shared for anyone's marketing including our own, and never used to build an audience, a segment or a profile.
Two service providers handle it: our hosting provider, which operates the web server and holds the access logs, and our email service provider, which operates the mailbox. Neither may use the information for its own purposes. No other recipient exists.
Information is disclosed to a court, a regulator or a law enforcement body only where the law requires or authorises it, and only to the extent required.
Will you send me marketing?
No. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no marketing of any kind from this site. An address used to write to us is used to reply to that message and nothing else.
Is my information sent outside Australia?
It may be. Our hosting provider and our email service provider may store or process data outside Australia, including in countries whose privacy laws differ from Australian law. The location depends on where those providers operate their infrastructure, and a reader who wants to know the current one can ask at info@faststart.online.
What happens when I click one of the paid links?
Following a paid link leads to the vendor's own website, and the referral is handled by the affiliate network that operates the link. That vendor and that network may set cookies or use similar technology on their own sites to record that the referral came from here, under their own policies, which this site does not control.
FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. receives commission reports from the network, used to reconcile what is owed and for nothing else. We do not ask the network for information identifying individual readers. The arrangement is described on the Affiliate Disclosure page, and what the site stores in the browser is covered in the Cookie Policy.
How is the information protected?
Every page is served over HTTPS. The site holds no database and stores no submission: there is no form to attack and no stored reader data to lose. The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to the people working for FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. who need them. No claim is made here to any certification, audit or standard.
What if the information you hold about me is wrong?
Information held in email correspondence is corrected on request. Write to info@faststart.online saying what is inaccurate and what the correct position is, and the record is corrected or annotated.
How do I see what you hold, or have it corrected?
Email info@faststart.online with “Privacy request” in the subject line and say what is wanted: a copy of the information held, a correction, or deletion. There is no charge, and a reply is sent within 30 days. If a request is refused in whole or in part, the reasons are given in writing with how to complain.
In most cases the only information held about a reader is the correspondence itself, plus access logs that are not linked to a name and are deleted after 30 days.
What if I want to complain?
Complaints should go to info@faststart.online first, and are answered within 30 days. If that does not resolve the matter, a complaint can be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
What happens if there is a data breach?
If there is unauthorised access to, disclosure of, or loss of personal information held in connection with this site, the incident is assessed promptly. Where it is likely to result in serious harm, the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner are notified under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and the notice states what happened and what those affected can do.
Is this site for children?
No. FastStart Online is written for adults and is not directed at people under 16. Nothing on the site is designed to collect information identifying a child, and none is knowingly collected from one. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to the address above can ask for it to be deleted, and it will be.
What if I am in the EU, the EEA or the UK?
FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its processing. The legal bases are legitimate interests for the server access logs — the interest in keeping the site secure and available, balanced against the limited and short-lived nature of what is recorded — and responding to the enquiry for a message sent to us. There is no consent basis for anything, because the site sets no cookies and runs no tracking that would require consent.
Readers in the EU, the EEA or the UK have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, including objection to processing based on legitimate interests, exercised by writing to info@faststart.online. There is also a right to complain to a supervisory authority: for FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. that is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz.
Will this policy change?
It will change if the site changes. The effective date at the top is updated with every revision, and a material change is flagged in a notice at the top of this page for 30 days from the date it takes effect. If cookies were ever introduced, the commitment in the Cookie Policy applies.
How do I contact you about privacy?
By email at info@faststart.online, or by post to FRESH POINT spol. s r.o., Provazničká 385/3, 110 00 Praha, Czech Republic.
